The RTA Persons with Disabilities Reduced Fare Program allows individuals age 65 or oder, who are not eligible for the Illinois Department on Aging  Benefit Access Program, to ride on CTA, Metra and Pace fixed route bus and rail service at a reduced rate.

Libertyville Township is an application site for the RTA Reduced Fare Permit for Seniors 65 years and older. At the time of application, the Senior must provide a 2" by 2" color photo and a current government-issued ID card. Types of identification accepted: Driver's License, Passport, State issued ID, U.S. Immigration, Alien registration card, or any other official government ID with your picture, date of birth, and signature.

Seniors may apply within 3 weeks of their 65th birthday.

Applications are available at the Township Office during regular business hours, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday at 359 Merrill Court, Libertyville.

RTA Senior Ride Free Permit

The RTA Senior Ride Free Permit allows qualifying customers 65 and older to ride at no cost on CTA, Metra and Pace fixed route bus and rail service. Applicants must be enrolled in the Benefit Access Program administered by the Illinois Department on Aging (DOA).
