CHANGES TO THE RTA RIDE FREE PERMITS
The current RTA Ride Free Permits for people with disabilities expire on June 30, 2014. There are many current Ride Free permit holders who have not yet completed their registration for the State of Illinois Benefit Access Program (BAP), which is the qualifying program that entitles people to free rides on transit in the State of Illinois.
In order for these riders to continue to receive free rides after June 30, they must register with the State’s Benefit Access Program IMMEDIATELY so that their new Ride Free Permit can be sent to them in advance of June 30th.
