In September, Libertyville Township gave out food to 199 households, which consisted of 612 individuals.   During this month, we received food/money donations for the Food Pantry from  Libertyville Sunrise Rotary Club, Libertyville First Presbyterian Church, Oak Grove School, Girl Scout Troop #1432, Butterfield School, Town & Country Garden Club, Libertyville Mainstreet, Libertyville Lions Club, Grace Lutheran Church and a number of private individuals.  We received weekly donations from Jewel-Libertyville and Mariano’s.  We also received fresh produce each week from Libertyville Farmer's Market, Prairie Wind Family Farm and Radical Root Organic Farm.

The outpouring of generosity from our community in giving food items and monetary donations has been absolutely amazing.

Volunteer workers and donations of nonperishable foods are always appreciated. We request that you schedule ahead with the Township if your organization is planning a food collection so we can coordinate pickup by Township personnel. Monetary tax deductible donations (payable to the Libertyville Township Gift Fund) are used to purchase food through our partnership with the Northern Illinois Food Bank at greatly reduced prices.
