Libertyville Township’s Mosquito Abatement Program

Libertyville Township has engaged Clarke Environmental Mosquito Management, Inc. to provide six adult mosquito control applications this season. The Road District has placed mosquito dunks, a larvicide, into the storm sewer catch basins in the unincorporated areas.

For unincorporated Township residents who have standing water on their property, mosquito dunks are available for pick-up. The mosquito dunks slowly release a long term, biological mosquito larvicide. The Township’s services are meant to be in addition to preventative measures undertaken by homeowners and businesses.

To be notified of the nighttime adult mosquito applications, sign up with the following link: www.clarkeportal.com/hotline. You can receive an autodial message, a text or email. In addition, you can report if mosquitoes are particularly bad in your neighborhood and if there is standing water that may need to be treated by calling the Mosquito Hotline (800) 942-2555.
