Special Volunteer Work Day!

Lake County Audubon Society, in cooperation with Libertyville Township and the Liberty Prairie Area Homeowners Association, will conduct a workday on Saturday, September 23rd, 9 am to noon. It will take place on the Bull Creek Trail Spur on Libertyville Township Open Space.

As a follow-up to last fall’s tree and shrub planting, there’s a need for help with maintenance around the new plants to improve their survival rate. In addition, there will be buckthorn removal along the trail.

Come dressed for the weather and the activity: long sleeves and pants, comfortable shoes, gloves, sunscreen. If you have equipment such as a lopper, pruning shears, a handsaw, please bring them. There will be refreshments.

Location of the event--Bull Creek Trail Spur trailhead is at the end of Bull Creek Drive. Parking is on Bull Creek Dr. and Countryside Dr.
